Meet Claire
Claire Webb is a ceramic artist who runs her studio and shop in the UK. She believes creativity is central to health and happiness.
A cosy, friendly paint your own pottery studio, The Paint Pottle is situated in the picturesque Leicestershire town of Market Harborough, giving you the opportunity to combine a morning’s relaxing creativity with refreshments or lunch at our onsite Village Café or one of Harborough’s many family friendly cafes or restaurants followed by a gentle browse of this pretty town and our community of independent shops.
Run by local pottery enthusiast Claire Webb, the studio is the perfect place to spend time with your loved ones (or to escape from them!). A great rainy day activity, pottery painting can be enjoyed by the whole family, from toddlers to grandparents. You don’t have to be an artist to create a Pottle masterpiece, Claire and her friendly team are ready with top tips and cheeky cheats to help you to create something to be treasured for years to come.
We host birthday parties, hen dos, baby showers and corporate events and run a wide variety of workshops and events throughout the year. And we have a dedicated clay space for throwing, hand building and workshops – The Village Pottery.
Bespoke commissions
We’re not just a paint-your-own-pottery (PYOP) studio, we also take commissions for bespoke or personalised ceramic gifts that, treated with care, will last a lifetime.

Inside The Village
We opened our doors inside The Village on Saturday 4 November 2023.
The Village (formerly the Eco Village) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, run predominantly by volunteers and home to a community café and independent businesses.

- Claire helped to co-found the Creative Harborough network, and founded Two Quarts Arts CIC.
- On the Art Trail, The Paint Pottle is one of “the artists who brought the students’ designs to life” on the Clean Up, Colour Up utility cabinets.
- Since 2021 we’ve published and supported the free Harbs Collective family trails at Easter and in the summer, and the kids’ Art Windows trail. Read about the trails in our Journal.
